About Aherne Sheehan

The Aherne Sheehan School of Irish Dance embraces tradition and innovation – training dancers in the beauty and grace of the traditional forms while keeping step with the modern, urban pace of our world today.
Our dance classes foster a fun, positive learning environment where students bring out the best in themselves and each other.

The four core values of the Aherne Sheehan school are:

Confidence - to give dancers the confidence and self belief to master a dance, and perform for an audience

Competence - to give dancers a solid foundation of Irish dancing skills and physical fitness

The Aherne Sheehan School of Irish Dance offers classes for children and adults at all levels on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, NY.

The school offers opportunities for performance and competition in the tri-state area, and is fully accredited with Comhdháil na Múinteoirí le Rincí Gaelacha Teoranta, the Irish dancing commission in Dublin. We are proud members of the USA Irish Dance Alliance. All classes are taught by accredited TCRGs.
